Watching The Snow.

31. January, 2013

I’ve spent the last few days pretty much behind closed doors. The weather has changed from icy cold to warm and wet, and I’ve just not felt like being outside. The upside is that I’ve gotten a lot accomplished inside, though not so much worthy of photographing. So instead I’ve dug out five favourite photos from five different months of January, from 2013 back to 2009.

Date Night At Kingyo.

26. January, 2013

Favorittene var Ms shortrib og min dessert, Otona No Pudding.

We finally found some time to visit the city’s newest izekaya, Kingyo, that opened just down the street from us earlier this month. With no reservation, we barely got seats at the sushi bar. It didn’t matter, though, the food more than made up for it. Our favourites were M’s short ribs and my desert, the Otona No Pudding.

Winter At The Cottage.

24. January, 2013

The main reason for our little outing on Tuesday, was a rug pick-up at M’s family cottage. So after our little ski expedition, we got back in the car and continued driving north. We arrived as the sun was setting, and it was so beautiful! We made our way on foot the last bit, through snowy paths, admiring how different it all was compared to summer, yet the colour tones were somehow the same. As we drove away later on, we noticed that the temperature had dropped to -25C / -13F, not counting the wind chill, and we were pretty much frozen solid. It was worth it, though!
